What FeastMatch costs
One number, charged once, and only when a job has actually happened.
Organisers
Free
Posting, matching, messaging and comparing quotes cost nothing. You pay the agreed quote and not a penny more — our commission comes out of the caterer's side.
Caterers
10%
Of a completed booking, deducted when funds are released. Listing, reading briefs, messaging and quoting are all free, permanently. Cancelled and refunded bookings cost you nothing.
Why not charge for leads?
Charging a caterer to open an enquiry means the organiser hears from whoever has credit that week, not whoever wants the job. It also makes the marketplace's revenue independent of whether anyone was actually fed.
Commission on a completed booking only pays us if the job happened, which is the same thing the organiser and the caterer want.
Where the money sits
When a quote is accepted, the organiser pays FeastMatch through Stripe. The funds stay in the FeastMatch Stripe balance — not the caterer's account and not the organiser's — until both sides confirm the event went ahead. Then Stripe transfers the caterer their share.
If the event is cancelled before release, the money goes back to the organiser. If the two sides disagree, the booking is frozen and a human looks at it. Nothing moves automatically in a dispute.
